Welcome to the Hops & Horizons Cicerone Scholarship Program

Craft Beer Girls, in partnership with Beer is for Everyone—a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive craft beer community—is excited to announce the Hops & Horizons Cicerone Scholarship Program. This collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to empowering marginalized individuals in the craft beer industry by providing them with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills through Cicerone Certification at any level.

Our Comprehensive Grant

We understand that pursuing Cicerone Certification involves more than just the desire to learn; it requires resources. This program aims to dismantle financial and resource barriers that prevent passionate individuals from progressing within the craft beer community. Our scholarship program offers a grant valued at up to $2,500, covering:

  • The cost of the exam for any Cicerone Certification level
  • Study materials necessary to prepare for the exam
  • Access to mentorship from industry experts to guide you through your preparation journey

This holistic approach ensures that financial barriers do not stand in the way of passionate individuals eager to elevate their craft beer expertise.

Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is open to anyone within the craft beer community — from enthusiasts looking to formalize their passion to industry professionals aiming to advance their careers. We warmly invite applications from individuals belonging to historically underrepresented and marginalized communities, including, but not limited to, women, non-binary individuals, those from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, individuals with disabilities, members of the LGBTQIAA2S+ community, people from low-income households, and members of other underrepresented groups, while also keeping our program open to any individuals facing systemic barriers within the craft beer community.
